It is merely an good toy / value. It works near perfectly and has given me hours of fun! It's durable inside reason and the 4th channel just adds to the challenge and enjoyment of living space IR control helicopter flying. Our little yorkie seems to get pleasure from it too. :)
Unfortunately I didn't obtain it (this time) from Amazon. But, I'll evaluate it to the fantastic Syma S107 to give you a baseline for the review. The IR controller is fairly typical in regard to these low price units. I don't like the lack of a spring return to zero throttle (the S107 has this) and have added a great sized rubber band horizontally across the control to pull the lever down. It works fine but looks bad. I am surprised that my 4 IR controllers with three frequencies every do not interchange in any way. They do not seem to interfere with our Samsung flat screen Television manage either. Apparently there should be a rather wide range of IR frequencies readily available. I could wish that the frequencies had been simply altered so I could use one or two controllers. By the way, I do not suggest utilizing the controller batteries to charge the helicopter. If you put fine alkaline batteries in the IR controller and Do not use them to charge your helicopter you will in all probability have very good batteries for a year or two. I have two S107's and I am crazy about them. I purchased the Z008 simply because it is a 4 channel I believed it would be fun to have the side to side motion.
