Buyer Reviews
I ordered this helicopter along with three other helicopters. 3 from Syma and a single off brand helicopter. I ordered a number of helicopters because the only ones I have flown have been two channel and if one particular broke I would have backup. I ordered the Syma S107 and S105 at the similar time, and the S107 arrived 1st and the S105 arrived the subsequent day. On my frist flight of the S107 I was suprised how stable and smooth the flight was. The box says 14 and up but I assume anybody could manage this helicopter. It goes up, down, left, perfect, forward, and backwards, all at a balanced speed thats fantastic for indoor flight. It is not too slow to be boring or also quickly that you can not controll it. The trim button on the controller is pretty a lot not required for the reason that it does not spin out of control. I nevertheless havnt adjusted the trim soon after about 20 flights. Also, both Syma helicopters are Incredibly durable considering the fact that they are produced of metal and tough plastic. The blades are also durable. There are some differences in the S107 and S105. The S105 is slightly wider and slightly longer. It also has two LED lights on every single side and a single in the front, a total of 6, which can be cool or annoying, it just depends on preference. The s107 has a single light on the front. The S105 seems to spin out a lot more than the S107 and is alot more hard to trim. This is an apparent flaw that was addressed with the newer S107, since it does not spin out at all. They both can be charged with the controller or by way of a USB port on your laptop which is very good if you do not want to waste your batteries on your controller. They each use 6 AA batteries in the controller. Each helicopters are really durable and have been crashed many occasions. My only complaint with them is the flight time is only around five minutes, though I don't have something to compare it to given that the other 2 helicopters I ordered are nevertheless not here however following about a week and a half. Also, the only choice for shipping is standard shipping. General I would advocate the S107 over the S105 considering of the trim problem with the S105, but both are wonderful helicopters and they are a rather really good value.
The Syma S107 is so straightforward to control that on my 1st flight I had it tour my entire apartment, zooming in and out of closets and under no circumstances touching an obstacle till I deliberately landed it. If you have by no means flown a very good RC heli ahead of, you may possibly need to have to practice a bit. It could be your second or third flight prior to you get that superior.
The S107 is truly that painless to control.
I am sure that a large number of of you have played with Air Hogs and other micro helis and you extended for a little heli that just plain flies exactly where you want it to fly and stays up in the air. I am right here to tell you that such perfection is inside your grasp.
Ahead of I got my S107, I already owned two Syma S105s and I never get tired of flying them. They appear just about identical to the S107 and the remote is identical, but they take a small bit of skill to fly with precision and I've made tiny tweaks here and there to get far better control.
The S107 takes almost no ability to fly. They gyro makes it laughably easy to manage. Just use it indoors, get it about 4 feet off the ground so that ground-effects don't mess with it, fly it a decent distance from air conditioning vents and the thing moves like it really is hanging from a string on a stick.
That perfection is, maybe, its one massive flaw.
The issue is, I assume the S105 is a bit even more entertaining to play with. The S105 wants careful trimming at the beginning of every flight. The S105 tends to make broad turns, but pulls out sharply, risking blade-strikes, unexpected modifications in direction and the occasional crash. It's extremely simple to fly the S105, but even so every time that I fly one I develop way more skillful with it.
The S107 just plain functions. It goes where I point it.
I produced one little modify to my S107, taping a paperclip to the front to support it move forward far more simply. That is the sum of all modifications that I produced to mine. I can't come across anything else to tweak. That is amazing. It really is awesome. It's a fun point to play with and the feeling of exhilaration endures even right after a large number of flights.
I heartily advise this heli.
...But if you want a similar heli that is similarly stunning however introduces a smidgen of challenge to each and every flight, contemplate the S105 as properly.
