Client Reviews
My wife purchased one particular of these small monsters as a Christmas present for me. I pulled it out of the box, ignored the instructions and flew it (flailed around about a foot and a half in the air basically) in the bedroom over the bed for about 3 minutes until the factory charge on the battery went flat. I then decided to read the directions though the battery charged. The instructions provided are moderately 'encrypted' by loose translation, but answered a couple of concerns.
I flew the machine a second time and had some challenges with rotor torque or something causing it to spin without having input from the remote. I created the adjustments listed in the instructions and the machine flew flawlessly following that. The potentiometer listed in the directions is a modest white surface mount sort on the forward ideal hand portion of the circuit board (looking from the rear). It helped to snip away portion of the plastic shield more than the board (I assume a radio freq. shield and mirror for the disco l.e.d. that flashes throughout flight) to reach it and I had to take away a wonderful deal of wax locking compound. A 1/2 turn down (appropriate) fixed the torque spin issue and all was well in the world.
My piloting abilities and lack of excellent judgment have lead to countless crashes and close to disasters. Free of charge falls from seven to eight feet and impacts with each and every thing from tables and chairs to ceiling light fixtures have only yielded a bent skid and one blade modify (blades are readily attainable and affordable about 6$ a set). I would advocate this 'copter to any person as a outcome. It is rather advanced beyond the tiny plastic tossers and has highly sensitive controls. Outdoors it soars to wonderful heights and with the additional 'elbow room' the sensitive controls make flying a tiny significantly more free and painless.
There is a slight issue when you are about half way by way of the battery charge - forward or backward manage inputs will drop the main rotors energy and demand some 'up' input. This is not the typical loss of lift linked with tilt on a heli, but some apparent function of the tail rotor drawing juice from the mains. I had to 'bend' the tail rotor straight after a especially difficult landing so possibly this is causing the further draw and resulting concern.
If you happen to be seeking for an 'out of the box' toy then appear elsewhere - if you want some thing with additional of a 'hobby' feel, super rugged style and power then this helicopter is for you. It flies outdoors highly, really nicely due to it being a little heavier and alot more potent. It needs a great deal of patience but you will be rewarded with months of enjoyment from a toy that is not rather as 'toy like' as you'd consider.
I would complain about 1 tiny thing...the disco light. why? flashing lights I realize - but multicolored disco lights on a helicopter don't make substantially sense...how about just nav lights?
Takes a whilst to learn to fly but after a tiny pratice if is fun to play with my wife hates it considering that I fly it all over the property and crash it alot iv hit almost every little thing in the home the heli takes a beating built highly nicely I would advise it to everybody I am going to order yet another one
