Consumer Evaluations
We have had two of these. A two to 3 year old can use it, but it takes a four year old or larger to put adequate spin on it to launch it to the ceiling. But it does function and is fun. The rotor blades (when the manage is pulled) will launch the helicopter off the handle and it will fly upward -- with a minimum auto rotation. It is made of soft foam and will not mar furnishings or the walls or ceilings -- a large plus. It will, of course, knock glass ware or such off shelves since it in all probability weighs 6-ten oz. and the rotor spins (but is soft adequate that it is not a threat to little fingers). On each of ours they did not seem to use sufficient glue to maintain it together and soon after rather a bit of use and lots of crash landings the landing gear and the tail "rotor" (which is fixed) necessary to be glued back on with rubber cement. But more than all, I would strongly suggest this for kid powered and indoor enjoyable. It is greatest as an indoor toy, outside its somewhat brief flight time (less than 10 seconds) makes it a bit underwhelming outside.
I got this as a gift, and was well received! With a kid's strength, it doesn't go pretty high and is secure for indoor use. With an adult's strength, this can go 30+ foot in the air and land who knows exactly where considering the fact that it is so light can can catch wind fairly properly! We'll see how it hold up more than time, but as it is not that high-priced, expectations are modest.
